About Me

Hello, and welcome to my page! My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Bake My Day. My love for baking all began when I was a little girl (about 13) and I got my first set of cookie cutters from my Aunt. Together, her and I made so many different types of cookies for Christmas, and low and behold, fancy cookies quickly became an annual Christmas tradition. In high school, I got a job at a bakery and continued to work there all through my four years at college. Little by little, my hobby faded as life got busier and I cut back hours at the bakery. Immediately after college, I began working full time as a Supervisor for a major utility company in New York and left the bakery.

All the while, I would get special requests from friends and family here and there to decorate desserts for their special events. I found so much joy in fulfilling these little side orders, and it was rare for me to turn one down. It wasn't about the money; it was about the excitement in designing something that had the potential to enhance someone's special day/holiday. 

Even though I have an amazing job, and I am very happy at work, at times I felt incomplete; almost like I hadn't explored my full potential career wise. Fast forward 3 years, and I found myself pursuing my master's degree in business management and digital marketing, in hopes of entertaining that more creative side of my personality.

After completing my Masters, I found that I could be doing a lot more with my free time. Aside from going to the gym, I wanted to do something a little more productive but equally as rewarding.

As of June 2019, I am officially open for business and committed to baking each and every one of your day's special.

In short, I am a part time home baker and decorator who provides custom cupcakes and cookies for special events and holidays.  I truly love the idea of starting my own part time business that allows me to leverage my passion for art and creativity while continuing to pursue my current career.
